Curriculum: Preschool Science, WEE Learn, Abeka Marine Science In this station, students learn the basics of marine science through hands-on exploration and discovery, interactive lessons, and intentional learning experiences. This includes fishing role-play, ocean life identification, countless books on best practices, and lessons on the study of marine ecosystems. Language & Literacy In this subject, students build strong language and literacy skills by developing print awareness, vocabulary, phonological awareness, and more! Our goal is for students to graduate pre-k having a basic understanding of semantics and syntax, and reading CVC words. Art & Sensory In this subject, students participate in process-based learning, focusing on the experience and discovery rather than the final product. They participate in sensory exploration by experimenting with sand, dirt, paint, texture, clay, and messy activities. S.T.E.M. In this subject, students will experiment with engineering and technology, document their observations, learn logic and problem-solving skills, explore spatial relationships, practice measuring, sorting, and magnetism, experiment with science and chemistry, develop mathematical awareness and more! Dramatic Play & Gross Motor In this space, students take on roles of community helpers, experiment with various musical instruments, perform theater style plays, sing and dance, and so much more! At Kids Castle, we know the importance of risky play in children’s development, and embrace rough & tumble and big body play in the indoor playground. Nature Conservation In this subject, students will learn the importance of conserving natural resources, protecting species and habitats, learn about and take care of different plants and animals, and learn to identify some of Florida's native wildlife and vegetation! Library & Social Emotional Intelligence In this subject, students will delve into children's literature, connect stories with personal experiences, discuss and debate, develop reading comprehension and analysis skills, build vocabulary, become authors and illustrators, and learn social-emotional skills through books that explore themes like diversity, empathy, resilience , empathy, and more! In our social emotional corner, students will learn emotional regulation, grounding techniques, and practice mindfulness. Kingdom Kids At Kids Castle, we hold Bible Class every morning before Circle Time. During this time, students will learn Bible stories and memory verses through fun and interactive lessons, fellowship with one another, praise and worship, and learn all about God and His love for us!

About Us Philosophy One Big Classroom Educators Contact Our Church About Our Church Kingdom Fellowship Ministries located at 4982 S. 25th St., Fort Pierce, FL, 34981 Mission We preach relationship over religion, and encourage people to draw closer to God and to build a relationship with Him through fellowship with other Christians, following his principles and commandments, and making him a part of their daily lives through prayer and quiet time with God. We hold church services in English and Spanish simultaneously at 7 pm every Friday, where we open with praise and worship, preach scripture, pray, and fellowship with one another. We participate in monthly communions to remember what Jesus did for us on the Cross of Calvary, and water baptisms are offered every two months. Meet the Pastor Aurora received Jesus into her heart at 16 years old, and even though she was raised Catholic her whole life, she truly experienced something wonderful the day she prayed the prayer of salvation. She knew she wanted to dedicate her life to Jesus as a Christian, and became a Sunday School teacher that week! Since then, she has led Bible studies in several homes, worked in healing ministries, and preached the gospel everywhere she goes! She received her pastor license and has been growing her church ever since.

This form of early education places an emphasis on fostering ingenuity, social-emotional intelligence, and resilience, as well as setting the foundation for important life skills like problem-solving, creative thinking, and social skills. In the field, we preach that the first five years of life are vital for human development. Scientific research proves that during this period, the brain develops the fastest, forming ONE MILLION synapses per second! This fascinating and extraordinary process only happens once in the human lifetime—during these first five years is when the brain is most able to rapidly develop neural connections for communication, relationships, and of course, learning. During these early years, children really are little sponges! At the one-year mark, the brain doubles the size it was at birth, climbing to 80% at year 3, and reaching 90% by age 5. This science is why Kids Castle is so passionate about early education! During these critical years of brain development, we strive to lay the foundation for success by using purposeful teaching to plan meaningful learning opportunities for each one of our students, so that they may thrive in an encouraging and nurturing environment. Health & Safety Health and Safety is our TOP priority. We have an on-site environmental specialist who sanitizes and cleans all day, every day. We utilize a daily equipment check for health and safety hazards as well as a rotating classroom cleaning schedule and cleaning company during after-hours. If you see something out of place or have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to kindly advise us. We do our best to maintain a clean and fresh atmosphere, but do keep in mind that in a classroom full of tiny bodies building their immune systems, students are expected to be sick the majority of the year, especially during their first few years of school. Researcher Dr. Maria Mejia, associate professor of family and community medicine at Baylor puts it this way, “Children under six years of age average six to eight colds per year, with symptoms lasting an average of 14 days, “It’s very normal for children to contract illnesses frequently as their immune systems build.” ***Suggestions for keeping illnesses at bay are the following: practicing proper handwashing, effectively covering coughs, sneezes, and proper nose-blowing, eating healthy meals with a variety of fruits and vegetables for adequate vitamins and minerals, and plenty of sleep. We encourage these practices daily as part of our program and encourage families to do the same and practice consistency at home. In addition, we emphasize healthy habits and nutrition consistently throughout the day as part of our holistic philosophy. Emergency Procedures include PEARLS, CPR, AED, and First Aid certified staff, monthly fire and emergency drills, and safety learning lessons and experiences.

What makes us different? Everything we do, from pre-reading and writing to process art, is sensory-based. We believe children are meant to learn by experience, not worksheets. Preschool and Pre-K activity schedule Our Mellow Mornings begin at 7 am with drop off until 9 am. During this time, children and teachers will start their day in a peaceful and relaxed setting as a soft landing to set the tone for the rest of the day. To foster an environment of community and collaboration, we fellowship as a school, praise and worship, and learn about God and His love for us! We then rotate through 3 subject areas where we will spend the majority of the day. We then have extracurriculars, a healthy lunch, quiet time, snack-time, a review of the day’s learning topics with reinforcing activities-Enrichment Hour, and dismiss until closing at 5 pm. Enrichment Hour (Afterschool Program) At Kids Castle, we give the option to extend the school day into something we call Enrichment Hour. This program provides youth development opportunities for our students and elementary students in our community to grow in Christ, build healthy relationships, form strong social skills, and learn self-improvement skills through leadership training, creative expression, and communication. Passionate & Certified Andrea & Aurora are a dedicated mom-and-daughter duo that care deeply about the art of early education, and have a unique vision for high-quality early learning in St. Lucie County. Andrea Ortega Director & Owner Andrea Ortega is the co-owner & Director of Kids Castle Christian Academy. She has years of experience in early childhood education, degrees in psychology with a concentration in youth & families, and believes in the power of teaching through science-based strategies. Andrea began volunteering at a preschool at 17-years-old for scholarship hours, and ended up falling in love with the environment and what it means to teach little ones. Her favorite subjects to teach are Language and Literacy, Bible, and Environmental Education. With years of experience in early education, Andrea is committed to providing the highest quality education to every child at Kids Castle. Aurora Ortega Cepero Accountant & Owner Aurora Ortega Cepero is the Administrator and co-owner of Kids Castle Christian Academy. She has a passion for ministry, humanitarian projects, and helping families as whole grow in their walk with God. At just 16-years-old, she began teaching Sunday School for littles and still continues to do so every Sunday, alongside her daughter, Andrea. She is a loving mother of 2 and enjoys spending time with her family more than anything else in the world. Aurora has life-long experience in business management, and is dedicated to providing quality service and professionalism in every aspect of her life.
